At Easter, all Christians everywhere celebrate the most triumphant and victorious day in the history of mankind. This is the day Jesus defeated death, hell and the grave! Because He did, we now have eternal life. But what are the benefits that we have in this life right now because of His resurrection from the dead? 1. We have been delivered from the fear of death and hell. 2. We have been given a living hope and an incorruptible inheritance. 3. We have power and victory over the devil. 4. We have been given victory over sin. 5. We have been given resurrection power as a result of His resurrection through the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:11 says, “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” I Peter 1:3-4 says, “ We have been begotten to a living hope and given an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for each of us as we set our hope on Jesus Christ and His resurrection.” The risen Christ gives victory to all who have been changed by His resurrection power! As we celebrate Easter, let us focus our hearts on the victory we have in Christ Jesus our risen Lord!
